Nadia Urato, M.D., F.A.A.D
Nadia Satya Urato, MD is a board certified Dermatologist and Fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon practicing for the last 17 years. She is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and Emory and Harvard Dermatology Residency Programs. She completed a laser fellowship with Rox Anderson, MD at Harvard Medical School as well as Fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancers with Dr. Steven Proper in Tampa, FL. She brings a unique combination of elite training and extensive experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Urato has exceptional skill in dermatologic surgery and is highly acclaimed for her diagnostic acumen. Her special interest in functional medicine and focusing on root causes of disease.
Dr. Urato uses controlled liquid nitrogen (cryosurgery) to treat some precancerous lesions (actinic keratoses). There are other treatments available for treating sun damaged and precancerous skin areas as well including Blue light and Levulan (PDT- photodynamic therapy), topical chemotherapy agents (such as efudex), and chemical peels.
